Sounds like a couple of religious...
Andy: I love Nickel Creek. Just listened to "This Side" yesterday
Me: I went through a huge Nickel Creek kick a few months ago. LOVE THEM.
Andy: "Why Should the Fire Die" is also good. I love the title song...awesome lyrics. Makes me glad that I chose to be married for life...and I never regret it. know what I mean? It's frustrating to see people 'test' relationships even tossing around marriage flippantly.
Me: Yes yes yes. That's been on my mind as Krista and I have been watching Gilmore Girls. They treat relationships so flippantly in terms of sexuality and all that stuff that should be handled much more carefully. AND THEY REAP WHAT THEY SEW! As a viewer, I know I'm supposed to feel sympathy for the characters (the script certainly is slanted that way), but I don't. I get angry watching it because people are so uncommitted on the important things, and it's treated as normal and "just the way it is."
Andy: I KNOW! Angie and I feel the same way. We get bummed out when we see it in real life. In fact, at my last job, I confronted a guy about him always demeaning women by talking about 'hot' and making explicit comments about them. I pointed out that one day, some creepy guy is going to do it to his daughters. I encouraged him to set a precedent of honor for his girls because they don't deserve to be treated the way he treats other women he doesn't know.
